When/Where can I drop off equipment?
Contact us at contact@lpfwest.org to arrange convenient pick up or drop off of your items.
What equipment do you accept?
We accept new and gently used sports equipment in good condition. For a full list of accepted items, please check out our complete list here:
Don’t see your item? No problem. Just send us a note at contact@lpfwest.org and we’ll confirm if your items work with our donation protocol.
How do I run an equipment collection drive?
We love equipment drives! The bulk of our donations come from individual donors, and equipment drives make it convenient for donors to deliver their gear. These drives are great for anyone to get involved in helping our surrounding communities. Please reach out to us at contact@lpfwest.org to learn more about organizing a drive.
What is the process for receiving equipment?
Please complete our equipment grant application.
We will review the completed application and contact you for a site visit (or interview at another site if your program does not have a consistent location). If approved, we will schedule a pick up or delivery of equipment for your program.
In what condition should the equipment be?
We accept gently used or new sports equipment. We ask that any equipment donated is properly cleaned and maintained and is free of excess dirt, mold and debris.
Where will my donated equipment go?
All donated equipment goes to schools and programs that work in underserved communities or low-income neighborhoods and serve at-risk youth. Beneficiaries include Title I schools, local Boys and Girls clubs, volunteer-run leagues, and after school programs. Most beneficiaries are in the Southern California area, but we also work with beneficiaries worldwide.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, donations are tax deductible! It is up to you to value the items you donate, but we can provide you with an itemized receipt.
